BARN arch. undertook the atmosphere and space design of Airmax Day for Nike Airmax product launch.
The design process was started by focusing on the basic elements of the brand product, air and transparency. In a one-day event; aim was to directly convey the character created over “air and transparency” to the users. The reflection of this character, which users would experience, was provided with material selections. Use of transparent pvc, raw sponge and polycarbonate surface are some of them.
Our design idea, which aims to convey the characteristics developed in the product scale to the structural scale with materiality, and to be perceived easily by each participant, has fulfilled the brand targets.
Airmax’s air filled pouches are imitated in a bigger scale with pneumatic pvc systems on the museum facade.

AIR & TRANSPARENCY
The seating units in the interviews are made of pure sponge, referencing the flexibility and softness experienced in the product. Again, in the area, these sponge units were transformed into different furniture and various functions were placed in the space.
