Papadopoulos Café is located in Istanbul Galata; one of the developing eating, drinking and cultural experience areas of the city.

In Papadopoulos, the language formed by its elements are essential in the perception of space. Transitions between materials and forms were vitalized in all decisions made in the space. One can read this situation on the product scale clearly. Without a doubt, the fact that Papadopoulos is located in routes passing through Galata or Tophane region enriches this experience.es of the atmosphere created.

Material transitions made from the interior and the facades that are open to the exterior provided the design with a strong communication with the street.

PRODUCT EXPRESSION

MATERIALITY

The wall-floor materials that form the basis of language make the expression of each designed product understandable.

This language can be felt through the formal projection of seating units onto the walls, the constant dialogue of textiles used in seating and curtains also with wall products and a shared expression of stools and custom designed lighting fixtures by BARN.

Transitions between materials and forms were vitalized in all decisions made in the space. One can read this situation on the product scale clearly; It is quite enjoyable to follow this situation between clear glass, mirror, plaster and textile surfaces in the round mirror placement at the entrance of the venue.

FRAGMENTED
PALLADIAN

Due to its texture, Palladian eliminated the need for material change between different areas of use, and the material could be maintained in all volumes throughout the space. The shades of the stone and filling material in the Palladian texture are the background to the spatial composition.
