BARN arch undertook the showroom architectural design and application of the Cotbox brand in Eminönü Yeşildirek.

In some projects, without a doubt, location remains a constant focus at every stage of the project. Cotbox is an epitome of this; the design tries to keep context vibrant through establishing a visual contrast and differentiation from the location. This approach towards context and design is materialized with the means of exhibition.

The material selections were chosen to be compatible with the position and perception of the brand in the market.

CONSTITUTING A MAIN CHARACTER

Materiality

Calmness and raw understanding is crystallized further via material selection; creating a stronger contrast to the periphery. Some of these materials are satin aluminum hanger units, terrazzo in floor tiles, and oak wood in furniture.

The ceiling is designed with a custom-made satin raw aluminum plug-in system, the lighting is hidden on aluminum surfaces and its density is adjusted to maximize the visibility of the products at all times. The wall was washed with visuals depicting seasonal products of the brand.
